Sunday, 6 June (A Kick in the Butt, Just What I Needed)

This week I only ran twice, but one of them was my half marathon. I learned a lot from the half marathon, namely the importance of putting in the miles each week, even if they're not fast, even if they're mainly walked. Interesting that I hit my wall big time exactly at the 10 Mile mark, about the extent of my long runs to this point. Amy, I don't know how you finished your Madison 1/2 Marathon! I had ideal conditions- just below 60 degrees, overcast (only a light drizzle at the very end), and no winds... and I still STRUGGLED! I am very satisfied that I completed it now... and I think this will be the kick in the seat I needed to put some longer run/walks into my weeks.

Tuesday, 1 June: 62 Minutes (7.7 km = 4.8 miles)

Saturday, 5 June: 2 hours, 28 minutes (21 km = 13 miles)

  1. So AWESOME! And your time was good too! You should be very pleased with that. The race looks like it was a lot of fun and actually pretty well organized. Maybe my attempt in two weeks will be closer to your achievement?
