So very, very slow

Well, this is my last week to report before D-Week. Death Week? Diarrhea Week? Oh, let's hope not! Done-It Week! That's what I'm shooting for. Last week, the week of May 16th, I deliberately kept things pretty mild. I ran 3 or 4 times just 3 miles each time. I will do the same this week. On my days off, I walked 3 miles. The only day I didn't do one of those two things was Wednesday when I finally rode my horse. He was awesome, I was horribly out of shape for it, resulting in me having what I fondly refer to as "saddle crotch" for about 4 days.

Ironically, I have another riding lesson on Max today, Monday, May 24th. I think I will be fine and over the stiffness in time for my event on the 30th. I did erase a lesson I had scheduled for Friday the 28th. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I booked that one.... I mean, when we were kids riding didn't cause issues I guess #1 because we did it all the time and #2 because we weren't like almost 40-years-old. All I can say is that the space between my ass and the saddle when I canter has definitely grown exponentially with age. Same with the trot. Max has a really nice jog that everybody loves... it still cracks my ass!

So, on that note... I'll report more after my "race" (I can't even type that word without giggling-- I don't think you can do a 1/2 marathon in 3 hours and call it racing).
